Tridacna squamosina – The squamosina clam is sometimes confused with the similar squamosa clam. The Squamosa clam is a relatively new clam to the aquarium trade and is cultured in the Red Sea. It is easy to tell a Squamosina clam from other clams by its unique, bright lines running through the mantle.
This species does well in medium to high lighting and has large scutes protruding off of it’s shell. These clams are great beginner clams for aquarists since they grow quickly and are very hardy. Feeding on Easy Reefs Easy Booster
