Chaetodontoplus sp “Phantom” x Chaetodontoplus chrysocephalus – The Labyrinth Angelfish is a mysterious hybrid angelfish produced by crossing the Phantom and Maze Angelfish.
Juveniles are dark with a bright yellow head stripe and tail. While they are transitioning to adults, they go through an interesting transformation. As adults they should have mixture of both parents with some blue striping and dark/black coloration along the body. Each individual is unique.
Their ideal diet should include high quality pellets like Easy Reefs DKI pellets and Masstick, Tdo pellets, frozen mysis, frozen Spirulina brine shrimp, and frozen angelfish diets containing sponge.
The Labyrinth angelfish should cautiously be kept with corals and sessile invertebrates as they may pick on fleshy tissue of many LPS, soft corals, and clams.
