Favia sp. – The Biota Reactor Core Favia is aquacultured at our Biota Palau facility. The color reminds us of glowing uranium glass rods.
This Favia is a type of large polyp stony coral that will benefit from stable alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, and trace elements in the water. It prefers moderate water flow and light, and it does well in the lower sections of well-lit tanks. Use care when acclimating it to your lighting.
This hardy species is a good choice for beginners who have a stable environment and water parameters. This coral will quickly encrust over any rock or adjacent surface.
